Chrysler Repair: Gauges dont work, soldering pencil, chrysler town

Question
I have a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Van. Last night while I was waiting at Taco Bell, I turned off the van and then restarted it after a few seconds when the car in front of me started moving forward. When I restarted the van, none of the gauges worked (temperature, gas, gear light), however the van runs perfectly.  Did a fuse burn out or is it something more serious. Please help.

Answer
Hi Virginia,
I don't hava manual for the van that new. But more likely the connection for the digital data wires that bring the signals to operate the gauges has an open in it. More likely it is at the interface between the plug in at the back of the dash socket, and the pin of the circuit board for one or the other of those two wires. It can be fixed with a soldering pencil at the joint. If you tap on the top of the dash you may cause it to reconnect, at least temporarily.
