Isuzu Repair: Defrost System, haynes auto repair book, iszuzu

I have a 2000 Iszuzu Rodeo. The defrost doesn't blow through the top. Instead, all you can do is get it to blow through the vents. I purchased the vehicle used and it didn't come with an owners manual. It's an automatic and I can't find a dip stick to check the transmission fluid. Do you happen to know how to check the fluid? Also, do you know where I might be able to locate an owners manual for this vehicle or do you think I should just purchase a Haynes auto repair book for it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I personally would get a Chilton manual. they are a little more detailed in there discriptions. You can get these on Ebay. As far as the problem, it sounds like a problem in the sending unit of the panel. But, I am not an expert on a/c problems to be honest. I have had similar problems in the past. To check tranny fluid, I have to check it on the tranny itself, there is a seperate hole to check the fluid levels. It is normally on the upper right side of the tranny.
