Land Rover Repair: EAS problems, conversion kits, rovers north

Question
Hi, recently my battery had died and I had to reset my windows and sunroof etc. over the past week I have noticed the suspension was not working and everyday the vehicle had gotten lower to the ground. Now it is so rough to drive it bounces down the road. Do you know if the relay possibly burned out and needs replacing or is there a more serious issue? It's a 4.6 2001 range rover. Thanks so much

Answer
Anytime the air suspension fails on a ten year old Range Rover I suggest conversion to coil springs.  Repair to the EAS requires special diagnostic equipment, and quickly runs into thousands of dollars as more and more parts are needed.

You can buy conversion kits from Atlantic British or Rovers North, and install the conversion with ordinary hand tools.
