Land Rover Repair: rear door wont open, door latch, tight area

we have a 1994 disco 300 seires some of the screws on door latch had threaded door was opening fine but last week its stuck shut. taken inside panel off but cant see to un latch is there any other way of opening it

tail door latch Hi Larry,

the tail door has a green land rover oval that pops off - you can grab the outside latch there.  As for inside latch, it is a tight area to work with, so here's a diagram that may help.  The diagram is an attached image...
