Lexus Repair: 2000 RX300, dependable vehicle, technical person

Question
I am not a car technical person by any means, but I really want to own a RX300, and the one I can afford is 2000 model. For my price range they come with 80,000km, it drives well and is clean. Will I see any major problems with the SUV soon, i.e next 2-3 yrs and what should I be looking at buying 4yr old with 80km on it.

Hello Mike, The Rx300 is a very dependable vehicle. You should not see any problems with this vehicle for about 100k miles plus. Just follow the service recomendations in the owners booklet and always use a experienced Lexus technician. Most problems I see are caused by mechanics that do not know these vehicles well enough to be working on thhem.
