Question
I have a 99 cbr 900rr ,The bike ran very good but . I started to work more and now i don't have time to ride ,the bike set for a moth and i try to start it and it back fire and wont start

Answer
Daniel, you can't let bikes sit for weeks at a time, the gasoline separates into a layer of alcohol and gasoline. Alcohol goes to the bottom and isn't a good fuel to start bikes with, as it is.

If you are lucky, try to drain the float bowls and the fuel tank/filter, then refill with fresh fuel and it may start up. If not then the carbs will have to come off for a cleaning of the pilot jets.
