Motorcycle Repair: DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT, happy holidays, clutch

Question
QUESTION: I replaced the drive belt on my 2004 FLHTCI, Of course I had to pull the whole primary. every thing went as well as could be expected. But now I noticed a winning noise coming from the transmission or primary. Did I do something wrong? I only hear it at an idle. It sort of sounds like a bearing under stress.

ANSWER: Check your belt and make sure its adjusted correctly

QUESTION: As i said, I can only hear the noise when the bike is idling. The belt is at proper adjustment. What else do you think it could be?

Answer
If it is only doing it at idle there are only a few things moving at idle. Your clutch, your motor and the trans. You might have not gotten one of the nuts tight enough. It could also be the chain whining in the primary.
Before i would tear it apart again, I would ride it for a while and see if the noise gets any louder.
