Nissan Repair: Gas flow problem, 2006 nissan sentra, nissan sentra

Question
When I attempt to put gas into my 2006 Nissan Sentra, the gas will not go in, and sometimes it sprays back out. I also have a service engine soon light. Could you advise me what to do about this problem, and, if possible, what the cost would be for repair?

Answer
Hi Michael -

Looks like one of the baffles collapsed in your fuel tank and is blocking the flow of fuel to fill. This is also why you have the engine light on, although to verify, you should have it diagnosed. Autozone will do it at no cost.

The fuel tank will probably have to be replaced.

Hope this helps -
