Nissan Repair: Engine missing or cutting out, nissan maxima, delivery volume

1996 Nissan Maxima with 234K miles. Ran great until today. Cranked over much longer than normal when starting. cuts out at low speed but will get power on top end or higher speed. I added Lucas injector cleaner to my fuel thinking it was a clogged injector. Improved slightly. Car shakes when missing. The idle was a little rough at first start for the day. I was told my idle control sensor was the problem at one time. if conditions worsened could that cause the missing?

Hi Tim -

This could be a few things. I would start with a tune up if you have not done so already. Plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor.

Also have the fuel pump pressure and delivery volume checked.

The ICS could cause this, but it would kick the check engine light on.
