Question
I recently was in a accident other part took a left turn in front of me a I tboned her . My xterra was repaired drives great runs great except when I picked up ride all warning lights are on in dash Vdc,slip, abs, check engine. None of these lights were on prior to the tbone. I asked repair shop what was up and they said that they could not fix and to take to dealer . Dealer says catalytic convert. sensor shows it is bad. my insurancetells me that these problems did not happen from accident with front end damage. The claim paid 10000.00 to repair shop. I know that all these lights were not on before now all are on . Do you think collision is the cause?

Answer
Hi Tim -

It is pretty obvious from my standpoint that the collision is the cause of all your dash lights being on, but the challenge is always proving it to your insurance company. If you can get a licensed or recommended mechanic to document that it is a result of the accident, you will have an easier time with insurance. Probably a relay, or a circuit got shorted in the impact. Those items are pretty sensitive.

Hope this helps -
and good luck.
