Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Replacing fan Blower on 1996 Pontiac, squirrel cage, fan blower

Question
Well I am hoping that 95 Bonneville is not much different than 96 in this regard. The fan blower is mounted recessed in the bulk head (a.k.a. fire wall). I have the replacement blower and its length tells me that there must be a trick to pull the old one out. I say that because I see clearance that is about 1/4th the length of the blower. There is a bracket holding bunch of wires which probably can be removed to improve clearance but it just does not look like that there is enough space to pull the blower out of it's recessed cavity.

Thanks.

Answer
Hello Imran,
I don't know the answer, but it may be that if you remove the screws and pull it part way out, you can remove the squirrel cage and go from there.
All I can say is try it, and if it doesn't work, stick it back in.
At the public library, refference section, you can read the service manual for that car.
