RV Repair: greasing trailer jack, drive gears, worm drive

Question
I've got a hallmark enclosed bike trailer with a electric tounge jack. It works fine but has just started making a noise that sounds like the worm drive needs to be greased, but there is no grease nibble. Only ID I've got for the jack is H & H Electric. Thanks for any help, Bob

Answer
Hi Bob:
I remember working on these some time ago but unfortunately by now do not remember how I got it open The jacks are made by Barker Black. They have a web site, www.barkermfg.com. Most trailer tounge jacks use a set of bevel gears that do occasionally go dry or get water in them, also the bushings wear out or a chip can come off one of the drive gears and get noisy. Maybe Barker can guide you in the right direction. Sorry, if it was here I could be more help.
