Steering Column Repair: Turn Signal Lever Broken, gmc sierra, gm vehicles

My son recently broke the turn signal lever on his 98 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD 305 Tilt/AirBag pickup. The lever broke close the bottom inside the column. How do I remove, replace lever? Thanks.

Hi Jeff:

Sorry about your situation.  You are talking about a multi-function switch.  This lever is part of a fairly expensive switch.  The multifunction switch needs to be replaced as an assembly.
