Towing Issues: Towing Isuzu with a Trailblazer, wheel drive 4wd, chevy trailblazer

Question
OK, so I am moving from FL to OK and I want to use my 2005 V-6 2WD/RWD Chevy Trailblazer LS to tow my 2004 2WD/RWD Isuzu Ascender, I am desparately trying to find out if this will work. I don't understand all the abbreviations and all of that, sorry, I just need it spelled out clearly because I can't find any information. Thanks so much for your help!!

Answer
"2005 V-6 2WD/RWD Chevy Trailblazer LS"

well if this is what you are talking about, then the Trailblazer has a V 6 engine in it , it is 2 wheel drive (not a four wheel drive) and the RWD stands for Rear Wheel Drive)
The LS is just some coding for interior styles like leather interior or such

"2004 2WD/RWD Isuzu Ascender"

That is a 2004 Isuzu   2 wheel drive  Rear wheel drive vehicle...

RWD means the transmission is connected to the rear wheels by a driveshaft assembly

FWD would mean it is front wheel drive

4wd is a Four Wheel drive...

Now the Isuzu weights in at 4800 pounds average and the trailblazer weights in at 4500 pounds average..

Now if you where to tow the Isuzu with the Trailblazer it would weight more than the Trailblazer and do not forget to add in the weight of the trailer - dolly..

But the towing capacity of the Trailblazer is listed at 6200 pounds so it would be in the range, but remember that you will be doing something new and as such it takes longer to start, STOP and cornering is different.. Not to mention backing up is way different..

I usually tell people to check with U Haul as to how to tow vehicles and if they can do it safely. They have invested lots of time and knowledge into what can and can not be towed..
