Honda: 1991 Honda Accord Battery Light Blinks, soft hammer, loose contact

The battery light on my 1991 Honda Accord flashes on and off, quickly. This
doesn't happen all the time, sometimes only once or twice during a 30 mile
drive.

Most likely a loose connection maybe at the battery or the alternator.check both the positive and negative they are equally important.Also the brushes in the alternator wear and get shorter the intermittently loose contact.If the light stays on tap the alternator with a soft hammer if the light goes out sure sign of bad brushes.Its cheap to have the alternator rebuilt usually about 50 bucks or you can buy brushes and install them yourself its easy.
