Honda: new intake...new problems, air induction system, ecu reset

Question
Hi I have a 1994 Acura integra LS Non-Vtec 1.8L

I have had the car for about 6 months now with no problems yet, It is pretty old and everything looks original. I recently purchased a cold air intake/Air Induction system and installed it with no problems, Though a new noise came..it was a noise that sounded like my engine was gasping for air every few seconds. Now the problem is I have no acceleration and the car almost shudders while i press on the accelerator, Also the car didn't start today until the 3rd or 4th key turn which hasn't happened until all these problems started. The intake was in for about 2 weeks before problems started erupting. What could it possibly be? Do you think its the intake? Or should I be looking at other things such as battery, spark plugs, plug wires..etc.

p.s I've taking everything on the intake apart and put it back together again with no change.

Answer
Reset the ECU by unplugging the battery for one minute.  If symptoms still exist, reinstall the OEM intake, and repeat the ECU reset.
What brand is the intake?  Sometimes manufacturers will claim that their product provides colder air, when the air is actually hotter, which will most noticeably decrease acceleration, especially on a hot day.  Contact the manufacturer if it is a reputable one.

Inquire after you've tried these methods,
