Mercedes: Check Engine signal, mercedes c 220, mercedes dealer

Hi, my question is that I have 1995 mercedes c 220. Its check engine signal lighted 2 weeks ago. I brougt to a regular mechanics. He checked it by a tool like hand computer. He said me the gas can not return motor after the first, it shold be return and consume left over. This is a not big problem. The car can not consume gaz effectively because it could not return to fire in the engine. Then, he erased the check engine signal up to yesterday. It lights some times then turn off itself, when I drive it light again. Consequently, it turn on itself and turn of itself. The car has 236000 miles, I changed oil last week. It does not have any unusual stuation but what should I do? I would be happy if you inform me. Thanks byee

Soon you will need to rebuild the engine/transmission, replace sensors and other high cost units.

Suggest you take the car to your local Mercedes dealer, have them do a Pre Purchase Inspection, which includes scanning for codes.
The Pre Purchase Inspection report will tell you if you should repair or replace the car.
