Suzuki: suzuki jimny, malfunction indicator light, suzuki jimny

i have 2003 suzuki,and last year the malfunction indicator light stayed on,i
had my engine checked for all the usual things,water,break fluid oil,ect. then
out of the blue it went off.

I have now noticed it has come on again once again everything seems ok ,so
what do you suggest,i have power and everything is good with oil,water,break
fluid. regards V. Brugmans.

An 03 Jimny?  What country do you reside in?  I'm not at all familiar with what devices couold cause the MIL light to illuminate on vehicles outside the U.S.  Nevertheless, the probability is that the memory in the ECM has the last instance of the MIL light, and the circuits involved stored as a history fault in memory.  You can access that memory with a scan tool.
