Tips on Buying Cars: Buying a car, better business bureau, license bureau

Question
My mom bought a car in AZ and left the dealership under the impression that the car was hers. The dealership since then has cashed her down payment check and just told her that nobody would finance her because she doesn t live in AZ. They are now saying that they are going to come get the car and give hers back to her. Is this a real reason that they can take the car back? She has had the car for a month now and the dealership hasn t paid on her other car. Is the dealership responsible for paying the back pay that is owed on her old car?

Answer
Almost every state is different.  My suggestion would be to call the license bureau in AZ.  You may have to have an attorney.  I would also contact the Better Business Bureau as they are very good about resolving problems like this.  Best of luck, Bud
