I had not heard of any such procedure thats why i wanted to see if anyone else had. Thanks for your reply Luke

1992 Chevy k1500 4wd installing brake rotors torque and run out how important is this procedure. I have had brakes repaired by local shop 2 times after 1.5 years rotors warp. I have decided to do these myself from now on. I use this truck mainly to pull bass boat and try to anticipate stops so to not heat brakes. have purchased bendix rotors and performance friction pads. Any input would be app. Luke

Heat would be the main cause of rotor warpage.I dont understand the question you are trying to ask.Personally I just bolt the new ones on & install the pads & go.If they get warped bad enough you can tell by a pulsation in the brake pedal.

Answer
They want you to check for rotor running true on the hub,not wobbling because it is not mounted square or hub bent.Requires a dial indicator,base,.....or the cheap shade tree method for a really warped rotor,a screwdriver tip & spin rotor listening for "skipping" of tip on rotor meaning it is warped or wobbling.
