State laws require an unobstructed license plate to be attached to your vehicle. These laws vary from state to state and might require a plate be attached to the front, back, or both ends of the vehicle. Attaching a license plate to your vehicle is quick and simple.
Locate the mounting bracket or pre-drilled holes on your car's bumper. If a license plate is mounted already and you need to replace it, remove it by unscrewing the two screws using the Phillips screwdriver.
Place the new license plate in the frame, if applicable. A frame is not mandatory, but might be chosen for aesthetic appeal.
Align the holes in the new plate with the holes in the mounting bracket. Make certain the license plate faces out and right-side up.
Secure the plate with the screws using the Phillips screwdriver. Make it snug but don't over-tighten. You can feel when the screw butts against the plate. After that, you just need a very slight amount of extra torque to snug it.
