Chrysler Repair: Calabration/diagnostics test for heater A/C: minivan, calibration test, calabration

Question
I had asked Kevin the question and he sent me the subject line test. the original problem was that all the leds in the buttons for the control flash when I start the car. The battery was dead for about 4 months. I have done the calibration test and it won't pass the cool down test. the A/C & Recirc after alternatively flashing both stay on together, which means it failed to calibrate. One thing it said in the test instructions was that all the leds would come on for five seconds. The rear window defroster one did not, I know it is not just burnt out.  Kevin didn't give me any other instructions of what to do if it failed!

Answer
Hi Rick,
Did you mean by "both stay on tegether" that they stay on but without flashing, or that they both flash simultaneously?  The latter means the cool down test failed, I don't know what the former means. If the latter, then check the outlet temp of the system and also check that the compressor suction side is warm. There is a table that says what the temp of the left center AC outlet should be after a 5 minute operation of the system with the engine at 1000 rpm. Let me know what outlet temp you get and what the ambient temp is. If it doesn't meet the spec, then the refrigerant is low or none or the compressor isn't operating. Let me know if the LED light conditions after the cooldown is something other than both flashing together.
