Motorcycle Repair: 1973 Honda cb500 carbs, 1973 honda cb500, vacuum hoses

I just got a complete 1973 Honda cb500 . I'am having problems with the fuel line routing and also with the vacuum lines. Do the 2 fuel lines go directley to the gas petcock? Also the 2 vacuum lines between the carbs where do they connect to? I just bought a clymer manuel and it doesn't cover either of these matters. Thanks,Jon  jonboyd@pacbell.net

Hi John,

The two vacuum hoses between the carburetors are not vacuum lines, rather atmospheric vents fopr the float bowls. Leave these hoses open and unconnected.

The fuel hoses connect to the petcock.
