Pontiac Repair: Instrument Panel/ Stalling, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
I have a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville, that the instrument panel just stop working. The only thing that works is the speedometer. I bought the relay for it, but can't find where it goes. I've been all under the dash, and checked under the hood....can you help me out? Also, my car has been hesitating, as if it wants to cut off. Once I've driven 20 miles, or she has warmed up, she turns off on me when I'm coming to a stop. What do you suggest I should check?

Answer
Hey Spence:

Sorry for the delay this question was in the question pool for some reason and I fished it out of the shalow end.

I am unaware of any relay for the IPC?? check all the fuses for the IPC. if you have no power or ground issues going to the IPC then it will need the complete assembly. as for the stalling is it hesitates it could be a lot of things the first and formost thing that comes to mind is a dirty or faulty mass air flow sensor. unplug it and drive it to see is the hesitation is gone. if so then that's the cause. as for stalling it may be related or may not. You have to catch it when it stalles and see what your missing. Does it restart right up or does it crank a long time? You could have a fuel pressure issue. that car has an issue with the ground circuit for the pump it's a big buss bar under the left front sill plate and carpet. That could also be tied into you IPC issue as well especially if the car has a water leak that ground splice buss bar will sit right in the water. Just a few things to check. Good luck :)
