The BBK air filter is a high-performance air filter made to last the life of the vehicle. However, over time, the filter may get dirty. This is OK, since the filter is made to be cleaned and reused. Once the filter is off your vehicle, follow the proper steps to clean and re-oil your filter.
Submerge the dirty filter in a bucket of water.
Rotate and shake the filter from side to side to remove all of the loose dirt and debris that may be in the filter.
Allow the filter to air dry.
Spray the entire filter element with air filter oil. These filter kits are generally available at any auto parts store. The kit comes with special oil that needs to be applied to the oil filter so that it will work properly.
Allow the air filter to dry to a point where it isn't dripping.
