Most of the time, auto manufacturers don't make much fuss about the chassis under any given car. If anything, the car's genetics are usually kept quiet to avoid potentially unwelcome comparisons. Chrysler, however, was justifiably proud of its revolutionary LH platform and its "cab forward" design -- from Day One, manufacturers the world over copied and continue to copy this configuration. To celebrate this new engineering milestone, Chrysler put the chassis designation right into the name of its flagship range-topper: the LHS.
Look up in between the lights in the overhead console -- you'll find a single screw near the windshield retaining it to the roof. Remove it with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
Either grasp the light panel with your fingertips or pry it gently downward with a flat-head screwdriver. It will pull out of the roof panel.
Lower the panel far enough to unplug the wiring plugs, and then do so. Pull the lamp assembly upward and out of the console.
Put on a pair of latex gloves to keep your fingertip oils off of the new bulb; failure to do so may cause premature failure. Pull the old light bulb out, and plug the new one in its place.
Lower the bulb housing back down into the console. Lift the console up and plug all the harness plugs in. Push the console up into its place in the roof, and reinstall the retaining screw.
