Better headlights lead to better night vision, which leads to safer night driving, and less strain on your eyes. With the available products these days, there is no reason not to have better headlights, whether you're on a tight budget or not.
In less than half an hour, there are three different things you can do to your late-model truck or 4x4's headlights to improve their performance.
Replacing the bulb itself is the easiest way. Why not use the brightest halogen bulb you can, such as the Sylvania's new SilverStar Ultras that install in just minutes?
If your headlights are oxidized and yellow or brown, you can try a restoration and polish kit like Sylvania's Restoration Kit. They state right on the box that the process will take less than 30 minutes.

The first step in getting better headlight performance is to have a clear lens for the light to shine through. If you have bad plastic lenses, light is going to have a hard time penetrating them. If the old plastic lenses are too far gone, try a set of replacement headlights.
