Auto Insurance Claims: Auto Accident Claim,, insurence company, hi tim

I was in a car accident in March, my car was totaled and I have minor but lasting injuries and pain. I am still treating 6 months later. The accident was not my fault the insurence company admitted fault imediately and spoke of settling right away. I hired and attorney because of this. I was paid $6500 for my car which was book value, but I am not sure if I should have gotten legal help because it may be a small settlement? I know you can not determine how much a settlement is worth but I am suffering from PTSD and not knowing if I made the right choice by hiring an attorney is not aiding my recovery.

Based on your statements, it appears you have done the right thing.  Your injuries sound like they were fairly serious and ongoing.  You did the right thing by hiring an attorney. You should discuss your case with your attorney. As for the the settlement of the vehicle, that too sounds like you did ok.  If thay paid you book value, that is about as good as you can hope for.
