Auto Parts: 2004 Explorer 4x4 flashing, ford exporer, shift on the fly

Question
I have a 2004 ford exporer, eddie bauer type with 4x4 auto (normal), and 4x4 high or low options. Auto trans, shift on the fly, 4.6ltr.
The ABS light came on first. Then the 4x4 High light started flashing, approx 5 flashes, then go off for five minutes or so, then repeat. I replaced the rear ABS sensor but the truck has the same symptoms. Not sure what to do next. Thanks.

Answer
It's definitely your ABS that's at fault.  On these newer vehicles the ABS data is used to control the rest of the drive train.  You will need to get a mechanic to scan the system and find out what the fault is, your chances of fixing it buy throwing parts at it are just about nil.  The most common fault in these systems is for the ABS computer itself to be bad.  You can buy rebuilt ones at any good parts store.
