Nissan Repair: Warning lights flashing together, light flicker, loose wire

Question
Hi. I just had my alternator replaced after being stuck on the road due to loss of electical power/ battery. Now althought the car runs the red brake light and the battery symbol light flicker together intermitently. It does not appear to be consistent at all but does appear to occur more above 45 mph but not exclusively. Bad alternator? Im stumped. PS 2 -3 days prior to the car getting stuck, the ABS yellow light appeared for the first time ever. It said in the owner manual that the brakes will work but the ABS function will not. Perhaps this is related.
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Joe,

Nissan uses an integrated voltage regulator in the alternator.  So, if the light is flickering and the brake light does to that means either the new alternator is defective or there is a loose wire.  Autozone or Checker will perform a free electrical inspection.  I do not know why the circuit back feeds with the battery/alternator light but the brake light gets involved with the process.  The ABS should not be a problem and this should be isolated to the alternator.  If you paid someone, a shop, to do the work would lead me to take the car back to them and drive them around the block and show them the issue.
