Nissan Repair: 1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R, nissan sentra, aluminum block

Question
Im getting ready to replace my 2.0L(steel block,SE-R) with a 2.0L(aluminum block,NX2000) Every thing looks the same. Will I have any problems with running or driveability ?

Answer
Carl,

As long as you match everything up before the installation you should be fine.  You need to take the old engine out and put everything on the new one as well as make sure there are no variations with the boltup to the motor mounts and the transmission.  Do not know if you are reusing your crank in the new block.  If so no big deal.  If not make sure the new crank as the correct pilot bushing installed.  Email me back with questions as there will be variations with sensor placement unless you are using all of your old parts less the new block.
