Nissan Repair: 240SX neutral safety bypass:, neutral safety switch, nissan 240sx

Question
Thank You for answering the following:
I have swapped a 92 Nissan 240SX DOHC 2.4(KA24DE) into my 90 model 240SX. I also swapped the harness and ECU. The 92 was an auto trans. I changed the flywheels and bolted the 90 5 spd. up.
I have completed the install however the starter will not engage. I can't find a connection for the neutral safety switch wire from the manual trans to the new harness.
I would like to just bypass it. (I'm the only driver) I know the ECU pin location is #34 but I don't know what to do to make the ECU "think" it's ok to allow the starter to engage.
Do I merely jumper wire it to ground? What do I do to bypass this so my starter will engage?
PLEASE HELP?

Thanks:
Rick

Answer
Rick,

If you have the automatic harness in the car.  Look to see where it connects to the neutral safety switch and bridge it there.  If you have the entire harness you might as well do it there where it would have connected to the automatic transmission safety switch.  This switch provides a pathway for the starter relay to go to ground.  You could wire around it and provide power from the ignition to the starter directly.
