Towing Issues: Car impounded by another driver, vehicle owner, going to jail

While I was away on a business trip, my car was impounded after it was involved in a hit-and-run accident.  The officer believes my boyfriend was driving it when he rear-ended another car, does not have a valid driver's license, and may have been drinking.  How do I get my car back?

ah PJ, unfortunately in this case it sounds like the police want to arrest the driver of the vehicle who was at fault...

How to get your vehicle back, boils down to "someone is going to jail" and that is the whole answer...

I am thinking that a lawyer might be well advised for this issue as the "Vehicle owner" is  responsible for all damages.
