How to Reset the Oil Life Gauge for a Mini Cooper

The Mini is a sporty compact car manufactured by the Bavarian Motor Works (BMW). The current Mini is an appealing combination of British styling and charisma with German engineering and reliability. Standard equipment on the Mini is the service interval display (SID), or oil life gauge. The gauge informs the driver when the vehicle’s next service is needed and is located near the odometer in the dashboard in front of the driver. When the Mini is serviced, the SID will need to be reset manually.
