MG Car Repair: brake pressure switch, differential pressure switch, brake light switch

Question
QUESTION: I'm losing all my brake fluid out the end of what I've determined to be the brake pressure switch. Is there supposed to be something plugging this, like a wire? OR has it jsut gone bad?

ANSWER: Hi Steve,
Do you mean a brake light switch? or a brake differential pressure switch? Since you have not told me what brand, model or year car you have, I have no way to guess.

QUESTION: OK. It's spring and I'm finally back to this. It's a 78 MG Midget. The fluid squirts out end of the Brake Pressure failure switch. Is there supposed to be some wiring at the end of this? It looks like it, but nothing's there.

Answer
Hi Steve,
If the brake differential pressure switch is leaking you either need to rebuild it or purchase a new one. Most of the parts suppliers have either the kit or a new unit.
Yes there was suppose to be wires (green and green w/orange tracer wires) connected to it which operated a light that warned you that there is a difference in the pressure between the two brake circuits.
