Tips on Buying Cars: RAV4 Purchase - Urgent please!, powertrain warranty, toyota camry

Question
Hi Danny:
We are a family of three, including a 13 month old.  My old car is OLD and I want to buy a new one.  I am inclined to Toyota because of reliability, high market/resale value of their vehicles, and 0% financing for three years.  I am thinking about a RAV4 with 4 cylinder engine Base model 4WD.
I sent emails to a few dealers and asked them for their best prices.  All told me prices around 23000 with a few hundred dollar difference.  I went to one Toyota dealer and the sales man told that he can give me one for about 22000.   I don’t know how to deal with these offers and what things might be there that are making price difference among dealers.  What questions I should ask them and what things I need to physically check in a vehicle they are giving to me.
Here is the warranty info I got.  One is offering Lifetime power train unlimited miles warranty, another 10yr/10000 miles nationwide coverage, while the third one is Corrosion perforation warranty: 60 months/ unlimited distance, Basic warranty: 36 months/36,000miles, Powertrain warranty: 60 months/60,000miles.
Please advise if RAV4 is a good choice if we are planning to have another baby within next couple of years.  How do you compare it with a Toyota Camry or Corolla 2010.  I need your urgent guidance as 0%APR offer is ending on June 1st and I don’t know how often 0% offers are given.
Best regards,
Sam

Answer
Hello Sam, I have a two sons 3&4, I would try and fit two car seats in the back seat first before making a decision, if you can live with it after that then it's a good choice. Rav's are very good vehicles. I went to toyota.com and found your answers, I think people are quoting you on new and pre owned certified vehicles, thats the reason for all the variables with the warranties, If it were me I would try and find a certified vehicle first, Reason is the 100k warranty and you get the same rates as new, plus you will buy a vehicle that has already been depreciated. Look at these links Im sending and it will clarify. As far as comparison, if you need 4wd there is no comparison, I would rather have a 4wd over a front wheel drive for my family if you live in that part of the country that it's needed? A sedan and a sport utility are totally different. I think you will enjoy the accesibility better on the Rav as far as bags of luggage you take when you have children and two car seats, it will be easier than a trunk. If you need more help, send me your Zip, colors and equipment and I will help you look for something.
